Sleeping through the night....

So about a month and a half to two months ago I decided it was time to teach Kyle to sleep through the night....it was rough! It took 2 night of crying at multiple different times and 3rd night of crying just once and a fourth night of making it till 6 am then sobbing so hard that my heart could not take it and I fed him. He was sick after that and only wanting to eat at night so I caved. Night time feedings returned....then he got sick again he was getting up TWICE a night again! Then we moved and that did not seem like the right time either. So on the 3rd night at our new place I decided it was time again. He woke up at 2 am and I let him cry it out and he went to sleep after 10 minutes, he never really got really upset either so that was good. Night 2 was last night. He woke at 1:30 briefly for like 5 minutes and fussed a little but went right back to sleep and I did not hear a peep out of him till almost 8:45 this morning!!! Good job buddy! Can I get an AMEN! Thank you Jesus and HELLLLOOO everyone sleeping all night again! The key I think is no naps past 4 pm and playing lots of games and being silly for the last hour to 2 hours before bedtime.
I will let you know how tomorrow goes!

Our new home....

As you all may know, we recently moved to a new apartment over this past weekend. It was a long hard grueling process. We started off pretty rocky and a bit behind. Just a mere 2 days before moving I came down with a pretty bad bug. I was miserable! I could not sit up without feeling like my head was going to explode! Poor Matt got off a graveyard shift to have to continue staying up to care for Kyle because I was bedridden! I have not been that sick since I had pneumonia several years ago! Thankfully on the big move day I was finally feeling better and ended up spending the entire day packing and cleaning and moving then unpacking and cleaning again! It was a long, long, long exhausting day. Followed by a early morning as in getting up a 0345 in the morning for work, then more moving followed by more moving on Monday and doing the final cleanup at our old place! Today was the first day of staying at home and I spent the day babysitting my nephews and then grocery shopping and I still don't feel 100%. So tonight I am going to veg out on the couch and RELAX with the remote control! Any who...I am posting some picture of the new place!

Kyle's Room....can you see him sleeping?

Life moves on...

I did not think it would be hard to move from our apartment to another apartment. I am learning that it will be. Not just the packing and moving of furniture, but leaving our first home as husband and wife. Leaving the place where we first brought Kyle home from the hospital. I have worked so hard to make this little apartment our home.

So many memories have been made in our first home.

Coming home after our wedding day was one of the most joyous days of my life in our home. We walked up the sidewalk and to the stairs hand in hand, exited to enter our home as husband and wife. We were FINALLY married.

We celebrated our first Chirstmas here too. Such wonderful memories...setting up the camera to take a picture in front of the tree that would be "just right" for our Christmas card. That is one of the best days in our home.

Aren't we adorable!!!

For a good portion of our life here was spent preparing for the birth of our little bundle of joy! We waited, prepared and planned for his arrival. I worked so hard to make his room just right, I even painted letters to spell out Kyle and decorated them for his room!

Oh my gosh! I forgot how huge I was!

Kyle's room!

I think the best day we shared in our first home was bringing home our Kyle. He was so sweet and warm and perfect. I remember sitting together on the couch with Kyle in my lap and counting his tiny baby fingers. Yes, I will miss our first home.

We have watched Kyle grow, smile, laugh and cry here. He learned to crawl in this living room. Laughed in our bedroom for the first time. Peed on the wall in his bedroom! So much history is here now! Kyle had his first Chirstmas here in our little home.

Good bye little home. We will miss you.

Skype...continued

So more good news about Skype. Matt's mom got a new laptop with a installed web cam and skype so now Kyle gets to see 2 grandmas that live far away every week! Yay for Skype!

Skype! Yay!

So after my mom moving away it has been hard getting to hear her voice but not see her or touch her. She solved half the problem for us. She sent us a Web Cam and we got set up to chat on Skype. It has been so great! Kyle can see his grammy and paw paw all the way in Arkansas. Kyle seems to enjoy it. Grammy can sing to him and talk to him and he interacts with her so well! I am so glad that when he sees her again he will actually recognize her! And Kyle LOVES it when his grammy comes on the computer to talk to him.....

Life as I know it........

Being a mom is everything I knew it would be and nothing I expected it to be all rolled up in one. Kyle is the light of my life. He is such a happy baby with rarely a tear to shed. He is so active too...he started crawling at 6 months giving us a run for our money! He loves to play, eat and talk to mommy and daddy.

Recently we started swim classes and Kyle really seems to enjoy it! Has has so far not cried once! He laughs, splashes and will even put his face in the water! He seems to really enjoy the time he gets to play with other babies! I am so proud of him!

My most latest passion is making healthy food for Kyle. When Kyle first started to eat solid food...aka puree, I bought him food from a jar which while it is good for kyle and pure fruit or veggie, I could not help but wonder...who's hands touched this food? Or, did they use the best bananas they could find? Are there pestisides used on the fruit put in this jar? Is the meat used from a hormone free healthy animal? With all these questions looming in my mind, I decided to do something about it. With a Amazon.com giftcard in hand I bought a AMAZING puree macine by kidco, some food storage containers and a book on basic puree food and I went to work! I even use my own cooking and puree it for Kyle, he LOVES it! He eats my cooking so fast!

Tonight I made a banana puree that was quite a hit! 1 whole banana, 1/4 cup of warm water and 2 Tbs of baby oatmeat. Makes 8 oz. Kyle really enjoyed it!
